The Development Associate will be part of the development team at Lily’s Place, working primarily on fundraising, events, and marketing communications. This person should have exceptional communication skills and be able to fulfill speaking engagements on behalf of Lily’s Place.
The Development Associate reports directly to the Director of Development and is a fulltime position.
Duties (including, but not limited to):
-Social media management with direction from Director of Development
-Content creation for social media, newsletters, email marketing, and brochures
-Data entry related to donations
-Correspondence with donors on a weekly basis (thank you letters, etc.)
-Complete speaking engagements in the community as needed
-Responsible for updating the Lily’s Place website as needed
-Research for grants
-Assist with quarterly newsletter
-Event management – attend independent events in the community
-Event planning – assist and plan fundraising events on behalf of Lily’s Place
Experience & Education Requirements:
-Bachelor's degree required. Will consider an Associate degree with work experience.
-At least one year experience working in fundraising, marketing, or nonprofit.
-Experience with Canva or other editing system.
-Nonprofit event planning experience preferred.
-Exceptional communication skills.
Other Things to Consider:
-Training will be provided by the Director of Development.
-Schedule is Monday - Friday days, with occasional evening or weekend required.
-Random drug testing required.
-Background check required.
